go to the smallish Placebo gig on Tuesday pm - by myself?
I have never been to a gig by myself before, cinema & football yes, pub club and gig - erm no.
I want to see my favourite band but it means going alone.. and I know if I don't I'll kick myself for being a wuss - but then again standing around a venue alone may look a tad weird? Will anyone notice? Yeah probably the weirdo who is preying for a lone Placebo fan... then again may be good novel content... and if the builder if naff my propensity to spend time in my lounge could be very low!!

I've done it before. 2 tips :
1, Dont drink more than 5 pints.
2, Take a notebook and pen then in emergencies you can look like a magazine reviewer

I convinced myself going home and reviewing building work and restoring falt to liveable conditions was more important.
That said I do have a swanky new sofa and oven..
I would have been better off going to gig as neighbours kept me from sleep until 1.30am...Grr.
do you sometimes feel that your life is really just about other peoples? That if they made a film of your life, you would only have a small role.
Parents, bosses, children, partners would have the lead roles, whilst just have a cameo. In your own life.
I do.
If they ever made a film about my life it would be a film short - 5 mins before the 7 o'clock news on Channel Four.
Parents and boss would indeed by main characters - and possibly the Tit...
Then again that is perhaps a reflection of my modesty!?!

So many reasons not to go really. If I could combine the two things by driving a 1973 reg Ford Cortina over Placebo, then maybe I would have gone

PLUS Life on Mars is repeated on BBC Four - so you wouldn't have missed it totally...
But yes I could see you as DCI Gene Hunt...well a syrup would be required but otherwise yes!
